Human Rights Policy

Cosmo Electronics Corp. is committed to the Responsible Business Alliance(RBA), and to fulfill its CSR and protect the basic human rights of all its employees, it upholds and respects the principles enshrined in the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the UN Global Compact and the UN International Labor Organization, and it will not commit any human rights violations or infringements and clearly states that it will treat all employees with fairness and equity.
Cosmo Electronics Corp.’s human rights policy applies to the Company and each of its operating locations, and complies with labor and gender equality in employment laws and regulations where it operates, and it has formulated and enforced human rights protection and labor policies.

Diversity and inclusion(D&I)and Equity
  • To provide employees with a gender equality, diverse workplace, upholding the openness, fairness and no discrimination is allowed on the basis of age, sex, physical and mental disabilities, race, religion, political stance or pregnancy.
  • To eliminate any forms of forced labor, employment relation and discrimination, sexual harassment and disrespect of privacy to create an equal opportunity, respectful, safe, equitable and free of discrimination and harassment work environment.
  • Implement and promote the recruitment and selection process of the internal control systems, and the personnel unit shall first confirm whether the recruitment content published by the employer violates the principle of non-discrimination. Before the recruitment interview, the interviewer must be reminded not to ask any questions about the applicant's personal information that is not related to the job. The audit unit will conduct an inspection to confirm whether it has been implemented.
Against child labor
  • Comply with local minimum age laws and regulations, and follow the internal control systems for new employee registration and distribution procedures. Applicants must provide relevant identification documents, and the personnel unit will confirm whether they are child labor to eliminate the problem of child labor.
  • There isn’t circumstance about employing child labor in the Company in 2024.
Meet the minimum wage requirements
  • To provide more than required minimum wage and employee welfare in accordance with the local government requirements.
Reasonable working hours
  • The working hours meet the local government requirements, to be attentive to the employees and the attendance regularly.
Safety in the workplace
  • A well-implemented safety and hygiene measures to create a healthy, safe and caring work environment for the employees, therefore they can benefit spiritually and mentally. The adaptation of a zero-tolerance approach for an occupational-accident-free workplace in all factories.
  • The Company has a plan to prevent illegal violations while performing duties, and conducts evaluations in accordance with regulations to ensure the implementation of a safe workplace.
  • Arrange a series of occupational safety training, including: fire safety training, first aid training, CPR and AED training, and set up occupational safety and hygiene management personnel.
  • Formulate relevant measures for the prevention and handling of sexual harassment incidents, and also establish employee complaint channels: sexual harassment complaint hotline and email (hr.cosmo@cosmo-ic.com) to immediately handle appropriate situations according to the situation to safeguard employee rights and interests and strengthen workplace safety.
  • Provide regular free employee physica check, in order to ensure the health of colleagues and a safe workplace environment.
Labor-Management Consultation
  • The aim to provide diversified communication channels, a regular labor-management meeting is scheduled to cover company policies, employment benefits and activities. The meeting allows employees to fully express themselves to provide the immediate and necessary assistance they need, hoping to create the most admired company for both the Company and the employees.
  • There is an employee welfare committee that organizes related activities on a regular and irregular basis to enhance interaction and care among employees and keep colleagues healthy physically and mentally.

As of the end of September 2024, Cosmo had 768 employees worldwide; 37% of whom were male and 63% were female. The overall male to female employee ratio has become even more even. There were 145 employees in Taiwan, while the remaining 623 employees were located throughout other overseas(including China,Indonesia, U.S.A., etc.).
